About Lilia Madden

Lilia Madden is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) who holds a MSW (Master’s of Social Work).

With clinical roots in the Seacoast region, she began her therapeutic career working in community mental health and transitional housing, a social justice-focused framework she brings into her work with individual clients today. She believes in co-creating defined goals for a client’s therapy journey, and making space for clients to heal, process, and grow towards specific outcomes. Her communication style is direct, authentic, and free from judgment or stigma, always.

Hi! I’m Lilia

Hi! I’m Lilia. I have been practicing therapy for 6+ years and love getting to engage and connect with all kinds of people on their individual journeys of growth and personal change. I am a body-aware therapist that works with all parts of a person to help facilitate more balance, ease, and understanding in their inner world, sense of self, and relationships.

I strive to be open minded, anti-ableist, and non-pathologizing in my approach to the work of therapy. I practice identity-affirming and trauma conscious therapy that draws from a variety of modalities and theories of change. I am committed to conducting my practice in a way that is informed by the Disability Justice and Neurodiversity Movements, among others. We will collaborate and use our time together in a way that recognizes and respects your history, lived reality, and vision for the future.

Healing is hard work! Growth can be painful, and change is usually pretty uncomfortable (to say the least). You don’t need to do it alone. A therapist can offer an outside perspective and help bring awareness to how you can more effectively approach tending to your needs, limits, hopes, and values within the current reality of life on Planet Earth. Let’s get to it!
